Ready to explore your options, make goals, and meet them?

Adult Ed offers free college and career transition prep- helping students to become college ready by building up their reading, writing, math and study skills. We also help students navigate the entire process of finding & applying to programs, as well as applying for financial aid and scholarships. 

If you aren't seeking to go back to school, but are looking for a career change, Adult Ed can also help with career counseling, and job searches- offering free support as you research, apply for, and transition to a new area of the job market.

Life happens. If you didn't finish high school, come see us about completion- it is never too late, and Adult Ed is here to help!

We offer flexible programming and support- you can prepare for and take your High School Equivalency Test (HiSET), or you can enroll in our diploma program, and we'll transfer in any credits you earned. 

If you register here, Morgan will reach out to schedule you for a first meeting to figure out what will work best for you!

Getting a Jump-Start on Planning for Your Child’s Higher Education

Is higher education in your family’s future?  Join a college savings specialist from the Finance Authority of Maine to talk about planning and saving for higher education.

Come learn about the aspirational and financial impacts of savings for students of all ages, as well as the program highlights of Maine’s Section 529 plan, a tool many families use to prepare for higher education expenses.

Also, take home some tips and tricks for getting a jump-start on the scholarship search while your child is in middle school/ early high school. 

Join Marie Pelletier, College Savings Counselor from the Finance Authority of Maine for this 1 hour virtual session and get started with saving for your child or grandchild’s higher education. 

This workshop is offered by FAME in partnership with adult education programs across Aroostook, Hancock, Penobscot and Washington Counties.

Supporting Your ADHD Kid

As the parents of an ADHD kid, you know that your child is extremely smart, funny, and creative. They're also likely to be great problem solvers, story-tellers, and entertainers.

However, kids with ADHD also have challenges. In order to really shine, they need systems in their lives to help manage our symptoms.

Join ADHD Coach Shannon Lindsay for a six-week course that will help you better understand your child's ADHD diagnosis and implement techniques to manage their symptoms and set your family up for success.

The earlier you start, the more confident and relaxed you will feel when it is time to apply for financial aid.  Join Jessica Whittier, College Access Counselor with the Finance Authority of Maine, for this 1-hour workshop as we talk all things paying for college.
