Our Classes
High School Completion
with Morgan Witham
Life happens. If you didn't finish high school, come see us about completion- it is never too late, and Adult Ed is here to help!
We offer flexible programming and support- you can prepare for and take your High School Equivalency Test (HiSET), or you can enroll in our diploma program, and we'll transfer in any credits you earned.
If you register here, Morgan will reach out to schedule you for a first meeting to figure out what will work best for you!

Fifteen Class Shop Pass
with Eric Beachy
Buy passes and attend open studios Monday/Tuesday from 8-10 am and/or Wednesday/Thursday 4-6 PM.
Join us in an open studio format for wood working with Eric Beachy. Eric will provide tool use instruction, and guide you through independent projects. The shop has a wide variety or handtools, and standard power tools. Our house material, free for use, is reclaimed gymnasium bleacher wood. Students will be responsible for the purchase of specialty materials.
This new pass program allows for more flexibility as you are able to pick what days/times you want to attend and passes never expire! This pass will buy you 15 classes.
The semester runs from Monday, February 3rd to Friday, June 6th.
Classes do not run on national holidays, or during the school vacation weeks of February 17th, and April 21st.

Linocut Valentines
with Jadyn LaDeau
Jadyn LaDeau will teach participants of this workshop how to make your own valentine print. Participants will learn the basics of Linocut printmaking by carving their own 4”x 6” linoleum block with their design, then will use their block to pull several prints by hand.

Sock and Mitten Class
with Lucia Daranyi
Looking for a cozy new craft this winter that will keep you warm? Feeling like you want to get back into knitting or learn some new skills? Lucia Daranyi will be teaching a three week class on how to make either a pair of socks or mittens (you pick!). Join us on Monday afternoons and knit up some beautiful, cozy socks or mittens to keep you warm this winter season! Classes fee is $10, materials are not included. All skill levels welcome!

Adulting 101: For the Love of Money

Adulting is tough. Finances can be one of the trickiest parts of adulthood. Whether you’ve been Adulting for decades or are just getting started, banking basics, spending plans, credit scores and budgeting tools are available to make things a little bit easier. Join Steve Kautz, Financial Education Programs Specialist from the Finance Authority of Maine for this 1-hour virtual workshop as we explore fundamental money skills.

Successful Scholarships and Applications
with Steve Kautz
Scholarships can go a long way in helping students cover college costs, but being successful in the scholarship application process can take some work. In this session you’ll learn to build and work your own scholarship application plan. You’ll also learn about and try out different scholarship websites, learn how to best use a scholarship information tracker, and learn to avoid some of the challenges of the scholarship process. Students and parents interested in learning about the scholarship process can join Jessica Whittier, College Access Counselor with the Finance Authority of Maine for this 1-hour workshop as we talk scholarships.
